Rule of Three: Most undergraduate divisions limit the number of majors and minors a student can work towards obtaining. When the Rule of Three is referenced, it means the school abides by the rule that you may have a maximum of two majors and one minor, one major and two minors, or two separate degrees and a minor.

The 2024-2025 year's tuition will rise to $64,500. Washington University students and parents were notified of a tuition increase for the 2024-2025 academic year on Feb. 1. The cost is a 4.5% increase from the current year, making it the highest tuition increase in the past 10 years.

Out of the 32,240 applicants for a place in the Class of 2027, 3,855 were accepted. This means that the overall WashU acceptance rate is 12%.

To have the best shot of getting in, you should aim for the 75th percentile, with a 1570 SAT or a 35 ACT. You should also have a 4 GPA or higher.

According to Edward Macias, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs, the cost is necessary to maintain the institution's quality. “The main thing is we need to provide a really first-rate education and experience for undergraduates,” Macias said.

There's no absolute ACT requirement at Washington University in St. Louis, but they really want to see at least a 33 to have a chance at being considered.
